Soft, indirect lighting is provided by this dramatic lamp originally designed by Wright for the Hillside Playhouse (1933) at Taliesin, his Wisconsin home and workshop. Cherry wood blocks climb in geometrical sequence around a central column, creating a sculptural effect.
